Liposomal iodide is designed for delivery of iodide across the cell membranes. Potassium iodide at an inteal concentration of 30 mM is encapsulated in the liposome. The exteal iodide concentration is 0.6 mM. To ensure the delivery efficiency, the lipid composition of the liposomal iodide is the same as that for a liposomal drug in clinic which is HSPC: DSPE-PEG2000: cholesterol (3:1:1, mass ratio). The average size of liposomes is about 110 nm.
The PEGylated Liposomal Iodide (Catalog No. PHPC002KI) includes 2 ml of 30 mM KI encapsulated in 7 mg/ml PEGylated liposomes. The exteal solution is water.
