TNFRSF1B is a single-pass type-1 transmembrane protein that functions as a receptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-alpha . It has been shown that signaling through this receptor regulates various biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, coagulation, and neurotransmission. Recombinant human TNFRSF1B comprises the extracellular domain (ligand binding) of the TNFRII protein.
