Found in the gastrointestinal tract, the three Trefoil proteins, TFF1, 2, and 3 have been shown to play an important role in intestinal mucosal defence and repair. In addition to being expressed by goblet cells and in the uterus, TFF3 has also been shown to express in certain cancers providing a potential use as a molecular marker for those cancers.
<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Biological Activity Comment
The ED(50) was determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of KTC cells and was found to be <0.5ng/mL.
