NDR2 or Nuclear Dbf2-related protein is a serine/threonine kinase in the subgroup of the AGC kinase family. NDR2 is regulated by Mob proteins and is also known as serine/threonine kinase 38 like (STK38L) . NDR2 act as novel pro-apoptotic kinase that is activated by RASSF1A/MST1 in response to Fas receptor stimulation and promotes apoptosis . NDR2 is mainly involved in the regulation of structural processes in differentiating and mature neuronal cells and it is highly expressed with highest levels observed in the thymus (3).
