Human PRL 2 (GenBank Accession No. NM_080391), a.a. 2-167 with N-terminal His-tag, MW = 19.1 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.
Specific activity: 0.334 pmol/min/ug
Background
Protein tyrosine phosphatase which stimulates progression from G1 into S phase during mitosis. Promotes tumors. Inhibits geranylgeranyl transferase type II activity by blocking the association between RABGGTA and RABGGTB.
Immunogen Region
2-167
Tag
N-terminal His-tag

40 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 110 mM NaCl, 2.2mM KCl, 20% glycerol, and 3 mM DTT.
Species
Human
Application
Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling
Notes
Assay conditions: enzyme was incubated in 50 mM Tris pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 5 mM DTT, and 12.5 mM PNPP as a substrate for 2 hours at 37°C. Absorbance was read by Tecan spectraphotometer at 405 nm wavelength.
