Human Nuclear SET domain-containing protein 3 (NSD3), also known as WHSC1L1, GenBank Accession No. NM_023034, a.a. 1021-1322, with N-terminal GST-tag, MW=61 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.
Host cell line: E. coli
Background
NSD3 is a histone methyltransferase that preferentially methylates Lys4 and Lys27 of histone H3. Lys4 methylation usually represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation, while Lys27 is a mark for transcriptional repression.
