Human FAP (GenBank Accession No. NM_004460), (a.a. 29-end) with C-terminal His-tag, MW=85.5 kDa, expressed in a Baculovirus infected Sf9 cell expression system.
Specific activity: >= 83 pmol/min/ug.
Background
Fibroblast Activation Protein, or FAP, is a 170 kDa dimer withdipeptidase activity. FAP expression is seen on activated stromal fibroblasts in>90% ofall human carcinomas, suggesting a role in the development, growth and metastasis ofcarcinomas. It is also involved in the control of wound healing and tissue repair.
