Human Bromodomain containing 4, also known as BRD4, HUNK1, or MCAP, GenBank Accession No. NM_058243, a.a. 49-460 corresponding to bromodomains 1 and 2, with N-terminal His-tag, MW = 47.5 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.
host species: E. coli
Host species: E. coli
Immunogen Region
49-460
Tag
N-terminal His-tag
Formulation
45 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8, 124 mM NaCl, 2.4 mM KCl, and 10% glycerol.
Species
Human
Application
Useful for the study of bromodomain binding assays, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
Notes
BRD4 protein is incubated with biotinylated acetyl-histone peptide substrate (Cat. #33000) in BRD assay buffer (Cat. #33001) in a 10 ul reaction for 1 hour at RT. AlphaLISA Nickel Chelate acceptor beads (PerkinElmer) are added, followed by Alphascreen Streptavidin -conjugated donor beads (PerkinElmer). After 1 hour incubation at RT, Alphacounts are measured.
Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
