Human Bromodomain containing 2, also known as BRD2, RING3 or RNF3, GenBank Accession No. NM_005104, a.a. 65 - 187 corresponding to bromodomain 1 with N-terminal GST-tag, MW = 41.4 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.
host species: E. coli
Host species: E. coli
Formulation
50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 138 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, 10% glycerol, 3 mM EDTA, 20 mM glutathione, and 2 mM DTT
Species
Human
Application
Useful for the study of bromodomain binding assays, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
Notes
BRD2 is incubated with biotinylated acetylhistone peptide substrate (Cat. #33000) in BRD assay buffer (Cat. #33001) in a 10 ul reaction for 1 hour at RT. AlphaLISA (R) GSH acceptor beads (PerkinElmer) are added, followed by Alphascreen (R) Streptavidin-conjugated donor beads (PerkinElmer). After 1 hour incubation at RT, Alphacounts are measured.
Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
