Adipose tissue is crucially involved in energy storage and metabolic homeostasis of the body. Human White Preadipocytes (HWP) are self-renewing progenitors of mature differentiated adipocytes and can be found as a constant subpopulation in adipose tissue throughout adult life. AcceGen offers a range of Human White Preadipocytes produced at AcceGen's cell culture facility from normal human subcutaneous and VIsceral adipose tissue from different locations of the body (lot specific source information is available on request). Differentiation of HWP into mature adipocytes can be performed using AcceGen Preadipocyte Differentiation Media system (see Instruction Manual "Preadipocyte/Adipocyte Media").Shortly after isolation, all AcceGen Human White Preadipocytes are cryopreserved at passage 2 (P2) using AcceGen's proprietary serum-free freezing medium Cryo-SFM. Each cryo VIal contains more than 500,000 VIable cells after thawing.Proliferating cell cultures are made from 500,000 cryopreserved cells that have been thawed and cultured for three days at AcceGen.
