Description	Primary colon smooth muscle cells play important roles in the smooth muscle contraction event during gastrointestinal motion. Human intestinal smooth muscle cells respond to intestine inflammation IL-1-beta and TNF-alpha stimulation by releasing IL-6, which might significantly contribute to the overall systemic inflammatory response. The colon smooth muscle cells possess a distinct subtype of somatostatin compared to other intestine smooth muscle cells. abms Primary Colon Smooth Muscle Cells are ideal models to provide insights in contractile, proliferative and connective tissue responses of human gastrointestinal tract research.
