Human glial progenitor cells (A2B5+) are derIVed from whole brain that is quickly dissociated into single cells, cultured and purified using magnetic cell separation. Human A2B5+ glial cells are from a single donor. They are greater than 90 % positIVe as determined by flow cytometry. Human A2B5+ cells enable researchers to produce glial cells such as astrocytes, microglia, oligodendrocytes, and their precursors found in the central nervous system using standard published protocols. Human A2B5+ glial cells may be used for various types of in VItro, in VIVo, or transplantation studies into normal or diseased systems.Development period: Prenata
