E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase UBR2 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the UBR2 gene. It is mapped to 6p21.1. This gene encodes an E3 ubiquitin ligase of the N-end rule proteolytic pathway that targets proteins with destabilizing N-terminal residues for polyubiquitylation and proteasome-mediated degradation. Alteative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
