Synaptic vesicle phosphoprotein that enhances spontaneous neurotransmitter release but does not effect induced neurotransmitter release (By similarity). Unlike other synaptotagmins, it does not bind Ca2+ or phospholipids (By similarity). Essential for mossy-fiber long-term potentiation in the hippocampus (By similarity).
