Background	Human CD98 (4F2) is expressed on monocytes and activated cells. All cultured human cell lines tested express CD98. CD98 is thought to be an activation antigen. Antibody UM7F8 recognizes a 125 kd heterodimeric membrane glycoprotein CD98. Antibody UM7F8 is comitogenic with soluble anti-CD2 andimmoblized anti-CD3 mAbs.
