Immortalized Rat Hypothalamus Cells (RCHT-1) express immunofluorescent-positive markers for dopamine beta-hydroxylase and the norepinephrine transporter, NET. The Immortalized Rat Hypothalamus Cells (RCHT-1) were derived from the hypothalamus of a 4-month-old Fisher 344 rat and were immortalized spontaneously in cell culture. Use of PriCoatTM T25 Flasks (G299) or Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) is required for cell adhesion to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels unless otherwise specified in the Propagation Requirements below.The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow IV medium available at abm, Cat. No. TM004.
