Human CD14+ Monocytes are immature phagocytic cells circulating in the blood that phagocytize and degrade microbes and particulate matter. Monocytes can differentiate into macrophages as well as dendritic cells in vitro, both of which are important in host defense. These cells are useful in immunology-related research including phagocytic function and signaling, cellular immunity and antigen presentation studies. Human CD14+ Monocytes can mature into 1) M1- or M2- macrophages using abms M1-Macrophage Differentiation Medium (TM006) or M2-Macrophage Differentiation Medium (TM007), respectively, or 2) dendritic cells using abms Dendritic Cell Differentiation Medium (TM008).
