Canine Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells are derived from the tibias of beagle dog. Cells are grown in tissue culture plates with AcceGen Culture Medium for 7-15 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells at passage 1 are detached and cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains 1x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen. Cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 2 or 3 passages at a split ratio of 1: 2 under the cell culture conditions specified by AcceGen. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.
