Liposomal chloride is designed for delivery of chloride across the cell membranes. Potassium chloride at an inteal concentration of 150 mM is encapsulated in the liposome. The exteal chloride concentration is 2 mM. To ensure the delivery efficiency, the lipid composition of the liposomal chloride is the same as that for a liposomal drug in clinic which is HSPC: DSPE-PEG2000: cholesterol (3:1:1, mass ratio). The average size of liposomes is about 130 nm.
The PEGylated Liposomal Chloride (Catalog No. PHPC002CL) includes 2 ml of 150 mM KCl encapsulated in 7 mg/ml PEGylated liposomes. The exteal solution is water.
