| Detection Principle | Myeloperoxidase (MPO) exists in neutrophils with 5% of dry weight for every cell, well-known of its oxidation of H2O2 and oxychloride to HCLO. It will be released to extracellular fluid for incycle in inflammation situation. And MPO also attend reaction with LDL. With its reducibility, MPO react with o-methoxyaniline. Therefore, it can calculate MPO activity, cell number, and the reduced amount of H2O2. by colorimetric analysis at 460 nm. |
