Calcium-activated, phospholipid-dependent, serine- and threonine-specific enzyme. Serves as the receptor for phorbol esters, a class of tumor promoters. Phosphorylates a number of proteins involved in neuronal development and is important for stress responses in neurological tissue. Modulates cerebellar neural transmission. Required for the elimination of multiple climbing fibers during innervation of Purkinje cells in developing cerebellum.
Specificity
Natural and recombinant Rat Protein kinase C gamma type

Linearity
The linearity of the kit was assayed by testing samples spiked with appropriate concentration of PKCG and their serial dilutions. The results were demonstrated by the percentage of calculated concentration to the expected.
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Intra-Assay CV: ≤6.7%
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):Three samples of known concentration were tested in five separate assays to assess inter-assay precision.
Inter-Assay CV: ≤9.8%
Protein Name
Protein kinase C gamma type
Recovery
Recovery was determined by spiking various levels of PKCG into serum and plasma .
