Produced by lymphocytes activated by specific antigens or mitogens. IFN-gamma, in addition to having antiviral activity, has important immunoregulatory functions. It is a potent activator of macrophages, it has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells and it can potentiate the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons.
Specificity
Natural and recombinant Chicken Interferon gamma
Subcellular Location
Secreted
Detection Range
15.6-1000pg/mL
Entryname
IFNG_CHICK
Linearity
The linearity of the kit was assayed by testing samples spiked with appropriate concentration of IFNG and their serial dilutions. The results were demonstrated by the percentage of calculated concentration to the expected.
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Intra-Assay CV: ≤4.6%
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):Three samples of known concentration were tested in five separate assays to assess inter-assay precision.
Inter-Assay CV: ≤7.9%
Protein Name
Interferon gamma
Recovery
Recovery was determined by spiking various levels of IFNG into serum and plasma .
