pAAVtri plasmids are used to produce regular single strand AAV (ssAAV) viruses using AAVnerGene s novel AAVtri System or traditional tri-plasmid systems. In this series plasmids, the AAV genomes are cloned into pAAVtri backbone, which containing two AAV ITRs. AAV viruses can be generated by co-transfection of pAAV plasmids with the regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids carrying different AAV serotypes and mini-pHelper or other Ad helper plasmids.

It is derived from the immediate early promoter of the cytomegalovirus and is commonly used to drive the expression of genes in a variety of experimental and practical applications.
