The human melanoma cell line, A375, was grown in low dose of 10 nM LGD 1069, pioglitazone (a thiazolidine), and a combination of the two (50% each). Concentrations were increased every 1-2 weeks until cells were growing at a concetration of 100 nM - previously inhibitory to cell growth. Cells were treating for approximately 14 weeks. Cell line authentication was confimed through STR profiling and dexoyribonucleic acid profiliing analysis. These cells are usedul for studying disease mechanisms and for developing targeted drug therapies.
