Description	ALTS1C1 cells were developed from mice astrocytes transfected with SV40 large T antigen. This cell line is a good model of gliomas in the brain by mimicking several features of its histopathology. ALTS1C1 cells express SDF-1 at high levels, which is critical for tumor hypoxia and invasiveness. This cell line is a useful preclinical brain tumor model for relevant research.
