Description	The Stable Bcl-xL Mouse Embryonic Fibroblast Cell Line was derived from primary embryonic cells from an 11-d-pregnant Bcl-x heterozygous mouse. After immortalization by transfection of the SV40 large T antigen, the mouse embryonic fibroblasts were transfected with wild-type Bcl-xL cDNA. This stable cell line is able to express B-cell lymphoma-extra-large (Bcl-xL) which is a major regulator of cellular apoptotic signalling by expressing antiapoptotic Bcl-2 proteins. The Stable Bcl-xL Mouse Embryonic Fibroblast Cell Line is a useful model in studying apoptosis regulation of tissue differentiation and homeostasis as well as in screening and development of new therapeutic strategies for cancer and other diseases.

Propagation	Use of PriCoatTMT25 Flasks (G299) or Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) is required for cell adhesion to the culture vessels. Grow cells inECM-coated culture vessels unless otherwise specified in the Propagation Requirements below.The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow III medium available at abm, Cat. No. TM003. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (TM999) to a final concentration of 10% and Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) to a final concentration of 1%. Carbon dioxide (CO2): 5%, Temperature: 37.0°C.
