Description	Fusing a kinase domain to a homodimerization domain such as the PNT domain of ETV6 can result in activated kinase. The ROR1 Stable Ba/F3 Cell Line expresses activated ROR1 tyrosine kinase that is linked to a GFP reporter (GFP-ETV6-ROR1 in MSCV-puro vector). Even though this cell line expresses activated tyrosine, it is non-transforming, meaning that the cells still require IL-3 to grow.ROR1 lacks kinase activity in tyrosine kinases, making it a pseudo-kinase. The function of ROR1 is unclear, although it is suggested that the protein participates in activities similar to MuSK and Trk kinases due to similarity. ROR1 may also participate in the non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway, suggesting a role in embryogenesis. This cell line is valuable to study the functions of the ROR1 receptor.
