Description	c-Kit or stem cell factor (SCF) receptor is a type III tyrosine kinase receptor that has a major role in the hematopoietic system and has nine key tyrosine residues. Y936 residue of the c-Kit receptor is involved in recruiting signaling molecules. c-Kit/Y936F-expressing Ba/F3 cells (with GNNK- isoform) has a Y-to-F mutation at position 936. The GNNK- isoform is the outcome of the c-Kit gene alternative splicing sites, resulting in different isoforms of the the tetrapeptide GNNK, and is the main transcript found in human malignancies. Together with the wild-type c-Kit stable Ba/F3 cells (Cat. No. T3041 and T3042), these cells may be utilized in studies involving effects of tyrosine residues on signaling pathways.
