Description	Fusing a kinase domain to a homodimerization domain such as the PNT domain of ETV6 can result in activated kinase. The HCK Stable Ba/F3 Cell Line expresses activated HCK tyrosine kinase that is linked to a GFP reporter (GFP-ETV6-HCK in SED2 vector). Ba/F3 cells expressing activated tyrosine kinase become completely dependent on the kinase activity for survival and as a result, the cells can be propagated even in the absence of IL-3.HCK belongs to the SRC non-receptor tyrosine kinase family consisting of some proteins which are expressed in all tissues, while others are expressed in hemapoietic cells. This family has a large influence in the regulation of biological functions, ranging from gene transcription and cell growth to immune cell function and insulin production. SRC may help couple the Fc receptor to the activation of the respiratory burst. In addition, it may play a role in neutrophil migration and in the degranulation of neutrophils.
